Welcome to Briana’s Ice Cream Dream! She would like to thank you for allowing her to share her homemade ice cream with you. You might have come to The Q Too not thinking twice about what's in the name, but we would like to share with you its special and unique background. Briana was born with a very rare genetic disease called 22Q2 Chromosome duplication. At the time of her diagnosis, she was only the 14th person in the world to share its name. Briana has been able to overcome many of the deficits the condition caused her, from physical development, dialogue, to even writing and playing. Briana enjoys music, her bowling league, solving puzzles, basketball, but most of all she loves her friends and teachers more than anything. If you have a minute to talk with her, she will tell you all about the people and friends she has met along the way and all the places she hopes her ice cream shop will go.

Although Briana loves doing many normal things that young adults’ like to do, her genetic condition does limit her and her ability to sustain what we alltake for granted. In building The Q, our family wanted to give Briana back the experiences and opportunities she hasn’t been afforded in hopes of bringing her a more independent future and a success to call her own. As a family, we are incredibly fortunate that this experience has brought us closer together. We are thankful for the opportunities and enthusiasm the community has met Briana and her ice cream with. We are grateful for the chance to offer patrons a safe and happy place to come together in our likeness, but to celebrate each other’s differences. It is with great pleasure that Briana can offer her very own community a spot to be themselves and develop friends, resources, and ideas for their own family. Briana and her dad have spent hours learning, testing, tasting, and creating some of the best homemade recipes you’ll find. Luckily for us, the creations are limitless, and we can’t wait to share what she has made!
